Engineered quartz rarely needs diamond pads — it's factory-polished. For dull edges, seams or light scratches, polish with 800–3000# diamond pads wet, or use a quartz polish compound with a felt pad. Avoid aggressive grinding: quartz is resin-bound and heavy metal bond work can damage the surface.
Our 5'' Resin Polishing Pads work on quartz edges and seams; the 3'' set suits detail work.
Resin pads work, but quartz-specific pads are tuned for the harder, denser surface. Match the bond to the material for best gloss.
Residue from acidic or abrasive cleaners dulls the surface. Clean with pH-neutral products; restore shine with a quartz polish compound.
Shallow scratches yes; deep gouges may need filling with color-matched resin before polishing. Test on an inconspicuous area first.
Quartz shines again with a light resin sequence (400–3000#) and a polish compound — skip heavy grinding and acidic products. Match the pads to the resin surface and the factory gloss comes back. JOY TECH's resin pads are sized for countertop edge and seam work.
