Launching your own brand of diamond tools works in five steps: choose the products that fit your market, supply your logo and packaging artwork, agree on bond and grit specs, approve a pre-production sample, and place the production order. Typical OEM MOQ is 300–500 pieces per SKU, lead time is 25–35 days, and branding options include laser marking on the tool, printed label stickers, and custom color boxes.
Reselling another factory's brand means competing on price with every other distributor who buys the same catalog. Private label lets you own the customer relationship, set the margin, and build equity in a brand that is yours. For diamond tools, the product technology is already mature — branding, local service, and fast stock are where you win.
At JOY TECH, our OEM program covers saw blades, core bits, and grinding discs, with neutral-to-branded packaging available.
| Option | What it is | Typical setup |
|---|---|---|
| Laser marking on steel | Logo and specs etched on the blade core | Included at MOQ |
| Sticker label | Printed label on the tool body | Lowest cost |
| Custom color box | Printed retail box with your artwork | Setup USD 100–300, MOQ 500 |
| Blade color ring | Painted rim color to match brand | Low setup, minimum order applies |
Private label only works if the brand is yours. Before sending artwork, register your trademark in your target market — the US, EU, and Gulf states all have low-cost national registrations. Do not assume that a logo used in China is protected abroad; trademark law is territorial. Also ask the factory in writing not to sell your exact SKU to other buyers in your market. A factory that refuses this clause is fine for stock branding but not for a serious brand program. Finally, get a sample of the final printed box before the full run: color shifts and barcode misprints are the two most common OEM disappointments, and both are cheap to fix before production.
Do not launch your brand the same month you order stock. The first container will arrive, you will discover one SKU sells twice as fast as expected, and you will want to reorder before you have built any distribution. Instead, launch with a small neutral-packaging order to test demand, then commit to branded packaging on the second order. This protects your brand from being associated with products that do not sell. A clean launch also gives you time to build a website, price list, and social presence before the first box hits the shelf. Branding is a long game; rushing it wastes a good logo.
A: Usually USD 100–500 for tooling and printing plates, often waived at larger orders. Laser marking itself is included per piece.
A: Laser marking at 100 pcs is possible; custom printed boxes usually require 500+. Use labels for the first run.
Typically the factory retains the mold, but your branding and trademark remain yours. Get this in writing.
A: Yes, but tell the factory which SKUs go to which brand so packaging is not mixed.
OEM diamond tools are a realistic brand play: low setup, fast lead time, and product quality you can verify by sample. Start narrow, approve samples rigorously, and scale the SKUs that sell. Contact JOY TECH to discuss your private label program.
